Signs and wonders are certainly nothing new to the scriptures. From the time that God said, "Let there be light," through the book of Revelation we find signs and wonders as a way of life for the peoples of those ages. Today, we seem to have lost contact with what seemed to have been then one of the greatest realizations of a Living God that the world has ever known.

In the days of Eli, the Bible gives us insight into a time in which God, dealing directly with man, was almost void. Of course, we know that ended with Samuel coming to the scene. The point that I want to make is simply this: we as the Church could be going through a very similar situation. We have not seen nor heard very much in regards to great signs and wonders happening in today’s world.

We know according to the scriptures that there will be a time just prior to our L-rd’s return that we will once again witness these magnificent signs and wonders. Jesus himself worked in signs and wonders. He said all that He had done we would do and even greater things. We can hardly say at this point in time that we are even consistently doing the works that He did, let alone the greater works.

Acts 2:22 (KJV)

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Here we see that Jesus was known by the miracles, wonders, and signs. In fact, Jesus told them that if they had no other way of knowing Him, they should know Him because of the works that He did.

John 14:11 (KJV)

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works sake.

These signs and wonders were the way in which Jesus knew the people would have to know that He was sent from the Father. I believe that this is still the way it is today. We have so many people going around saying that G-d said this and G-d said that. Quite frankly, I do not know how the Church is ever going to know what is of G-d and what is not of G-d without the signs and wonders returning to the Church.

Even the disciples that followed Christ asked for a sign to confirm His words.

John 6:30 (KJV)

30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

Matthew 24:3 (KJV)

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

The Scribes and the Pharisees also required a sign from Jesus to prove He was from G-d.

Matthew 12:38 (KJV)

38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

Signs were given throughout the generations so that all could know who was and who was not speaking the things from G-d.

Exodus 4:30-31 (KJV)

30 And Aaron spake all the words which the Lord had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

Notice how the scripture says that after the signs came, the people believed.

I never realized how important it is for the L-rd to give signs until they started happening to me. I then saw that with these signs it was undeniable that G-d had done it. More importantly, the signs are set to let the people know that what has been prophesied will surely happen. For example, as of the last year or so the L-rd has had me speak concerning some nations. After I told them what it was that the Lord was about to do, I gave them a sign to know that it was from G-d, and the sign would let them know that the prophecy would come to pass. This happened in a number of places in the scriptures and I would like to use a short passage from Exodus to show you that this is scriptural.

Exodus 4:9 (KJV)

9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

Some six months ago, I went to minister Christ to a small island off of Madagascar called Mauritius. If you are not familiar with Madagascar, it lies just south and east of Africa. While I was there, I prophesied what the L-rd had given me. I told them that the L-rd was giving them seven years to bring the ministry of that nation together and unite. This unification would bring about a sweeping of the Holy Ghost across the entire nation. This sweeping of G-d would be heard around the world and cause many to come there seeking as to how it happened. There are over one million people on Mauritius and somewhere in the vicinity of only fifty thousand Christians. I also told them that if in fact they did not unite and come together, then at the end of that seven year period I would come back to Mauritius and pronounce judgment upon them, as the L-rd indicated to me.

The L-rd also gave me a sign to give them that they might know that He had sent a prophet into their midst. The sign was that there would be a cyclone coming toward Mauritius and would no doubt hit the tiny island. The L-rd had me tell them that an apostle named Jean-Claude Soupin would at that time call the ministers together and pray. It would be those prayers that would stop the storm in its tracks, and it would then move off and not hit Mauritius.

I just returned from another trip to Mauritius, and when I first arrived there a minister came up to me and told me of how the sign that G-d had given had come to pass. I am not telling you this to impress you as to G-d using me, but He has given me a number of signs that I have watched come to pass. I am using this illustration to show you that G-d is once again about to use signs in a grand manner to get the Church and world’s attention. I do, however, believe that these signs will for the most part come from the prophets. I believe this will be one of the ways that the L-rd is going to use in order to separate those who want to be prophets from those that truly are prophets. In fact, I believe the Church will and should demand signs to prove whether what is being said is of G-d or not.

I realize that there have been and always will be skeptics that are not going to believe that such things as signs will ever appear in this day and age. There are even those that will quote scripture that will show that even false prophets will show signs and wonders in the last days. I want to direct our next thoughts toward this latter problem.

Matthew 24:24 (KJV)

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

The L-rd has never had a problem with this, and it is now time that we in the Church understand what is being said here and to whom it is directed. It seems like every time someone not associated with the right people does something for the L-rd it is automatically deemed to be that of a false prophet.

Matthew 12:22-30 (KJV)

22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils,

25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself, how shall then his kingdom stand?

27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

29 Or else, how can one enter into a strong mans house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Mark 9:38-40 (KJV)

38 And John answered him saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us; and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

40 For he that is not against us is on our part.

Anyone doing things in the name of Jesus is not the false prophet that Jesus is speaking of in Matthew 24:24. These false prophets are going to be doing great signs and wonders, but they will not be using the name of Jesus. It will not be possible for the very elect to be deceived because they will be rooted and grounded in the Word. There is a big difference between the elect and the very elect of    G-d. The elect are those in the Church that are born again but have no knowledge of the deeper things of Christ. The Church desperately needs to receive knowledge for the days that are now at hand.

We hear a lot on television about this one or that one saying they are prophets of G-d. Let those that proclaim that office hear what the L-rd is saying in this hour:

"Give the sign to confirm the words spoken that they may know I have chosen you to speak. For I the L-rd G-d am about to do a magnificent and wonderful thing. Signs will once again confirm My prophet’s presence in the Church and world. I am even now drawing my prophets from the four corners of the earth. Most of the Church does not know their names, but I know them and have anointed them from the foundation of the world for this day of my outpouring. Their hearts will not be as the ministers that are so well-known today. Their hearts will be likened unto the hearts of the prophets of old. I will watch over the words that My prophets speak, to perform them as it pleases Me. This is the fruit that you will know them by. Signs and wonders will prove them worthy of the prophet's office. Those that either have no sign to give or the ones that give false signs, believe them not to be prophets."

The L-rd is about to display His power in such an awesome form that even though people will hear of it they will not believe that it is taking place. The time is at hand and the Church must ready themselves for this hour.

The two prophets that will stand in Jerusalem in these last days, that G-d will show great signs to the entire world through, are contained in the scriptures below.

Revelation 11:3-12 (KJV)

3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

He is some kind of G-d, is He not? AMEN!
